Railfest is an annual summer event that provides family friendly entertainment; highlights many vendors, businesses, and organizations; and supports some of the great projects that enrich our community.

The vision of Railfest is to encourage community involvement and to promote community spirit by providing opportunities for families to spend a relaxing and entertaining day together while raising funds for a deserving community organization.

Each yeah, the Railfest committee selects one or more local organizations to benefit from the fund raising efforts associated with Railfest. Previous recipients have included Fulmont Community Action, The Little Huskies, The Girl Scouts Troop 2725, and the Gloversville Boys and Girls Club.

Among the many irreplaceable organizations in Gloversville the Regional Animal Shelter was chosen by the Railfest committee to be the recipient of funds raised from Railfest 2013. The Gloversville Boys and Girls Club with receive funds that they raise the day of Railfest at the Children's game area.

Please join the community again this year on August 3rd from 10am through 8pm for another fun filled day. There will be fireworks at dusk.
