An afternoon of modern chamber music written by French composer, Francis Poulenc (1899-1963), a contemporary of Ravel and Debussy. Duet, trio and sextet selections will be performed by accomplished professional musicians who are colleagues and friends. Experience the essence of what chamber music really is: music written for friends, played by friends in a “great hall”.
Sunday’s concert is preceeded by Master Classes offered on Saturday by the ensemble members for interested woodwind and horn students and musician’s. Students of Gloversville Community Music will have priority in the class but all musicians are welcome. For details please contact Joshua Thompson at GloversvilleCM@gmail.com.
