On August 20, 2014, the Gloversville Public Library will have a Science Fair and celebration marking the close of this year’s Summer Reading Program. The events are open to the public at no charge.
10:30am-12pm There will one last Science Fun event. Children are invited to build and create with materials used at the different classes held over the summer. Materials include: macaroni, paper, yarn, string, white glue, sticks and marshmallows.
12pm-1pm Children are invited to gather and share in a snack as part of the celebration.
1pm-3pm The Science Fair will be held. Contestants may enter projects created earlier in the summer at a previously held Science Fun Event, or at home, using the same materials used at the Library: macaroni, paper, string, yarn, white glue, sticks, and marshmallows. Projects may include: mobiles(at least 3 tiers), bridges, towers, and paper airplanes.
There is no pre-registration required, and no entry fee for this competition.
