Please join us in front of City Hall tomorrow 11-11-15 at 11 a.m. for a wreath ceremony honoring our Veterans!
We will celebrate Veterans Day to recognize those who have served in our armed forces and honor them for their service. Each year, we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11th because fighting in World War I ended in 1918 when an armistice agreement between the Allied Nations and Germany went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Veterans Day became a national holiday in the U.S. in 1954 and was expanded to recognize the service of all veterans, not just those who served in World War I.
Do you need a nice place to hold a celebration, party, family gathering, meeting or event? Then why not have it here at the Gloversville Senior Center? The center seats 128 people comfortably and is available to accommodate your needs.
