Spy School
The Gloversville High School Drama Club is holding a two-night production of Spy School, a comedy by Don Zolidis Thursday, Nov. 19 and Friday, November 20. Doors will open both nights at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
Set in 1961, Spy School is about a teenage girl named Jane Doe (Alyssa Rocas) who is recruited by the CIA to undertake a top-secret mission to stop the Russians from stealing important information about the ongoing space race to the moon and beyond. The CIA’s leader Agent K (Rebecca Brown-Weinstock) assigns her to an anonymous high school, where she battles an angry English teacher (Willow Carey), a bizarre Home Economics teacher (Rebecca McCall), and a dreamy high school senior (Jared Roman), all of whom Jane suspects might be behind the Russians’ plans. Armed with an egg, a stuffed squirrel, and a #2 pencil, can she pull it off?
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for students and kids under 10 free. For further information, please e-mail director Christian Rohrs at CRohrs@gesdk12.org.
