Comprehensive Plan Moving Forward
The meeting on the 2015 Comprehensive Plan that was held tonight was very informative and left me encouraged about the future. A great job was done of covering the key points and methodology of the plan. I'd like to thank those who attended tonight and of course the steering committee for their continued work.
If you haven't had a chance I would strongly recommend you look over the entire document on the city website and even compare it to the 2003 comprehensive plan document to see what has changed and/or been expanded upon. After the community has had a chance to review the document a public hearing will take place most likely in January with a final document to hopefully be adopted by the common council at some point in February.
This is a huge step in outlining where we want to be heading in the coming years and how we plan to get there as well as opening us up to streams of funding that require a comprehensive plan outlining these points.
