Hockey Tournament

  The Gloversville Recreation Commission will host a Hockey Tournament tomorrow, March 1st, at the Lucius N. Littauer Community Ice Rink on Union Street from noon-5:00pm. Registration is free and will take place before the event at the rink. Pond hockey rules will be used for the event. Bring your 3-5 person teams or come to watch. If you would like to participate, but do not have a full team come anyway in hopes there will be enough to form one. Concessions will be available. Open skate and rentals will resume upon the completion of the tournament until 8:00pm for the general public. This will be an exciting event and we hope to see you there.

Ice Rink Grand Opening

The Gloversville Recreation invites city residents to the Grand Opening of the Littauer Community Ice Rink on Union Street. The event will take place on Saturday, January 11th, 2013, from 2:00 pm-8:00pm. Skate rentals will be available for kids and adults at a cost of $1 and $2 respectively. There will be concessions available for sale including hot cocoa, chili and soup. Bring your friends and family for a fun filled day of ice skating, snowman building and ice fort designing! Skating in the New Year

The Gloversville Recreation Commission will be turning the lights on at the ice rink tonight at 6:00pm in celebration of the New Year. Rentals will be available. There will also be hot cocoa and fresh baked cookies available for sale to keep you warm. Hope to see you there with your family and friends.

Ice Skating

The Lucius N. Littauer Community Ice Rink on Union Street in Gloversville will be open for the remainder of the winter, weather permitting. Ice skate rentals will be available on Wednesday and Saturday nights from 5:00-8:00pm at this time. Rentals are $2 for adults and $1 for kids. Daytime rental times are expected to be announced soon.
