Ice Skating

The Lucius N. Littauer Community Ice Rink on Union Street in Gloversville will be open for the remainder of the winter, weather permitting. Ice skate rentals will be available on Wednesday and Saturday nights from 5:00-8:00pm at this time. Rentals are $2 for adults and $1 for kids. Daytime rental times are expected to be announced soon. Photos with Santa Claus

The Gloversville Recreation Commission invites local families to attend a free holiday open house on Saturday, December 14, from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. hosted by Great Rentals, at 59 N. Main St.

People can come downtown to get into the holiday spirit with some hot chocolate, candy and giveaways.

Santa will be there for free pictures with children. A small donation for pictures will be accepted to benefit the Gloversville Recreation Commission.

Recreation Night

The Gloversville Recreation Commission will be holding a Recreation Night tomorrow from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Gloversville Senior Center for the youth of Gloversville. Games will included Ping Pong, Foosball, Chess, UNO, and many more. Feel free to being your own games and challenge your friends. Open to all ages.

The Gloversville Senior Center is located at 53 Church Street in the city of Gloversville.

Recreation Commission Meeting

The Gloversville Recreation Commission will be holding their monthly meeting this Thursday in the Employee Lounge at City Hall at 7:00pm. The public is welcome to attend.

Normally the monthly meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month, but changes had to be made to accommodate for Thanksgiving.
