Think Outside the Box!

Micropolis Cooperative Art Gallery will be kicking off the holiday season with a special “Meet the Artists Reception” on Friday, November 22.

Cooperative artists and other community members, were invited to create a special piece of art in a box, on a box, around a box or as a box— all to be unveiled at the event!

Special guest artist Stan Plotner will be in the gallery between 4 and 7pm to present his collection of one-of-a-kind silver jewelry. Stan’s work has been exhibited nationally as well as in Japan, Australia, and Canada, and in museums including the Museum of Contemporary Crafts in New York City.

Artwork in a variety of media from various artists will be on display including original paintings, drawings, photographs, fiber collages, mixed media, woodwork, glass, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, batik, and pottery.

The reception will be held between 5 and 7pm and is free and open to the public. Micropolis is located inside Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, 30 North Main Street, Gloversville, NY.
