9-11 Memorial Service

Today we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the attacks of September 11, 2001.

We all remember where we were when we heard the news or saw those horrifying scenes for the first time 12 years ago. Many were directly impacted by the attacks and many more know someone who lost a family member or friend. Many workers and courageous first responders were killed in the attacks.

Thousands of workers in the Pentagon and in downtown Manhattan were also victims, many of whom were exposed to conditions that continue to affect them today.

The legacy of those killed at the World Trade Center site, near Shanksville, Pennsylvania and at the Pentagon lives on every day. They will never be forgotten because we will never forget.

In their memory let’s continue helping each other and making our communities and world a better and safer place for generations to come.

Please join the Broadalbin-Kennyetto Fire Company for the 5th annual 9-11 memorial service Wednesday, September 11. This service will commence at 7:00pm at their firehouse located at 14 Pine Street in Broadalbin.
