Johnstown's Architectural Assets

GRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF A SMALL CITY'S ARCHITECTURAL ASSETS - MEET THE ARTIST RECEPTION, Micropolis Gallery, Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market, 30 N. Main Street, Gloversville, (518) 762-4893

Johnstown, New York, is a city rich in history, filled with architectural gems. Graphic designer Linda Hinkle hopes to encourage people to become more aware of their surroundings and to see things through a new lens - with expanded interest and renewed pride. Hinkle has created six photographic collages focusing on historic, religious, commercial, residential, public and industrial structures in Johnstown. The large format photographic collages are on display on Main, Market and Perry Streets in Johnstown. At this Meet the Artist Reception on Friday, November 7 from 5-7pm, the small reproductions of the collages will be unveiled at the Micropolis Gallery. This program received support from Fulton Montgomery Arts Grants (F-MAG), which is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by Saratoga Arts. Admission is free.
