Micropolis Gallery Announces Guest Artist

  Nationally recognized artist Corey Pitkin will be the featured guest at Micropolis Gallery in Gloversville from January 14 through February 28. The exhibit will include never-before seen and existing works, including Treasures Within: winner of both First Place in Oils and the People’s Choice awards at last year’s Annual Hagaman Autumn Art Show. A reception with the artist will be held at the gallery on Friday, January 23 from 5-7pm.

  Corey Pitkin, a native of Athol, NY, is a predominantly self-taught artist specializing in figurative and portraiture paintings in oil and pastel. He is a member of several local and national arts organizations including SVAN, the Oakroom Artists, the Oil Painters of America, and the Pastel Society of America. He offers portraiture workshops across the north country and Capital District, with upcoming winter classes at the Saratoga Arts Center.
