Special Trip to NYC


Day Trip to New York City with the Friends of the Gloversville Public Library!

WHEN: Wednesday, September 30, 2015 7:00AM-@10:00PM

To NYC:
Depart from the Johnstown McDonalds at 7:00AM on a Brown's Bus
Arrive in NYC at the New York Public Library @ 10:30AM.

Home to Johnstown:
Depart from the NY Public Library at 6:30PM for the return trip.
Arrive at the Johnstown McDonalds @ 10:00PM.

WHAT TO DO WHILE IN THE CITY: This tour includes a free tour of the NY Public Library - which is optional.

There is also an "add-on" walking food tour of Little Italy guided by Gloversville native, Alana Hoye Barnaba. This is a two-hour stroll which includes a visit to 4 restaurants, and is an added 35 dollars.

Patrons are free to make their own plans while in the City such as: taking in a Broadway Matinee or doing the Freedom tour. If you choose to make your own plans, please be aware of the return time schedule and allow ample time to catch the bus home!

PRICE- $50 per person for the round-trip Browns bus transportation and
free tour of New York Public Library

$85 per person for the round-trip Browns bus transportation,
free tour of New York Public Library and the 2 hour guided
walking food tour of Little Italy


While at the New York Public Library you may also want to get a Library card. With this card you will have access to a vast selection of e-books, and research data bases. As an adult resident of NYS you need only one form of ID- if it is one of the following:
current NYS driver's license
current NYS photo learner's permit
current NYS non-driver's identification.

The bus seats 55, so make your reservations soon!

Reservation forms may be obtained on the Gloversville Public Library website, gloversvillelibrary.org ,Facebook page, or at the circulation desk of the Library. Full payment must be included at the time of reservation. There will be no refunds after 8/27/2015, unless the trip is cancelled by the Friends of the Library.

Check or money order should be made out to "Friends of the GPL" and returned to the Gloversville Public Library, or John Mazur, 176 West Bush Rd., Gloversville, NY 12078
