Golf Clinic a Success

The Gloversville Recreation Commission would like to thank Gloversville High School Coach Mark LeFever, Chris LeFever, Steve Serge and, a member of the GHS golf team, Joshua Fonda for volunteering their time Sunday to teach the kids at our Youth Golf Clinic. We would also like to thank Pine Brook Golf Club for hosting the event. We may have organized this but without the knowledge of these volunteers and Pine Brook none of this would have happened for the youth of Gloversville. While a few of the kids had some experience, others were learning for the very first time. Everyone had a great time and hopefully tucked a few snippets of information away for a sunny day.

The next City of Gloversville Recreation Commission meeting is this Thursday August 22nd at 7pm. Meetings are held in the employee lounge at City Hall every 4th Thursday of the month. The meeting is open to the public and everyone who would like to volunteer or suggest ideas is encouraged to attend.
