A Day In Gloversville

Gloversville Transit is offering a $1 a ride special on all Gloversville Runs this Saturday! Take advantage of this and join the Rec Commission for a free chess tournament at 9am at the Senior Center (registration begins at 8:30), Antiques N Uniques Lower Level opening celebration with vendors, Farmers Market and Garage Sale Weekend!

The Mohawk Harvest will be open to serve you some excellent lunch items and supply you with a wealth of local products. The Micropolis Art Gallery located within the Mohawk Harvest has a plethora of art of all mediums to view or purchase.

The Fly Shack is holding classes on the ‘basics of fly fishing’ at 28 E. Fulton from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Call (800) 801-2318 for more information.

The Phreekshow A Night of Magical Madness will be at the Glove Theatre at 8pm. Tickets are $10.

Free Chess Tournament

The Gloversville Recreation Commission will be having a free chess tournament. Open to players of all ages from anywhere, this tournament will be at the Senior Citizens' Center at 53 Church St, Gloversville on Saturday, July 6, with registration starting at 8:30 am. Games will be played in 8 player Swiss system sections with round 1 starting at 9am. Rounds 2 and 3 will start at 10 and 11am. Section winners will have a playoff after a short lunch break. Hi Gloversville, Join us on july 6th for our Grand Opening of the lower level of Antiques N Uniques. We will feature A BACKYARD GUEST ARE BEST MINI FLEA MARKET at the Elm Street entrance off the parking lot out back, Visit us on the patio for refreshments, music and a mini flee market, we are all looking forward to this new addition to Antiques N Uniques. Every Saturday throughout the summer you can book a FREE vendor space and sell your wares. This will be done on a first come, first serve basis by calling me at 518-224-8471 to book your date. Only 10 vendors each Saturday,bring your own 6 to 8 foot table as space is limited. So gather your friends together and come on down spend some quality time together. Hope to see you all there.
